Short Story - December 2007
The Holiday Let
"I don't know about those bows", Pat said.
"They're a honeymoon couple", I said, "bows
are romantic".
It had taken me over an hour to tie and position
the three bows and I was rather proud of the effect.
"Bows
are bows", Pat said firmly, "and frankly Lorna, nobody these days,
have bows tied to their headboards".
Pat's new girlfriend, a squirrel like personage called
Devonia chittered some squirrel like remark that only
Pat could translate, "Devonia says as far as she
knows nobody ever did".
